North Dakota's rural communities are resilient, resourceful, and full of people who care deeply about where they live. What they sometimes need is a little more capacity, and that's where you come in.
Strengthen ND places AmeriCorps members across the state, often in smaller and underserved communities, to help local organizations tackle their biggest challenges. Your work might include writing grant materials, coordinating community events, supporting volunteer recruitment, or helping a local nonprofit build the systems it needs to grow. Every placement is a little different, because every community has its own story and its own needs.
If you're someone who thrives on variety, and believes in the power of place, Strengthen ND is calling your name.
What to expect:
- Serve full or part-time with a host organization, often in rural or smaller communities across ND
- Support capacity building work including communications, outreach, grant assistance, and volunteer coordination
- Engage directly with community members and local leaders
- Earn a living allowance and an education award upon completion
