Summer is short. But the memories made in it? Those last a lifetime.
Healthy Connection is a nine-week summer program run through Jamestown Parks and Recreation, where AmeriCorps members spend their days mentoring youth ages 6–12 in neighborhood parks and at the Two Rivers Activity Center. You'll create a safe, joyful environment where kids can play, learn, and have at least one caring adult in their corner this summer.
You'll lead activities, build relationships, and help young people develop healthy habits — in body, mind, and heart. It's active, energetic, and genuinely fun work. And for some of the kids you serve, you'll be the highlight of their summer.
What to expect:
- Serve full-time for nine weeks over the summer in Jamestown, ND
- Mentor youth ages 6–12 in parks and recreation settings
- Lead activities focused on healthy choices, relationships, and community
- Earn a living allowance and an education award upon completion
