Some kids just need someone to show up for them. That's what Reading & Math Corps members do.
Placed in Kâ8 classrooms across North Dakota, Reading & Math Corps members work one-on-one or in small groups with students who need a little extra support in reading or math. You'll meet with students for short, focused sessions every day.
You don't need to be a teacher. You don't need a background in education. What you do need is patience, consistency, and a belief that every child deserves the chance to succeed. We'll train you on everything else.
What to expect:
- Serve during the school year, typically 10â28 hours per week
- Work directly with students in a school setting in southeastern North Dakota
- Receive full training and ongoing support from program staff
- Earn a living allowance and an education award upon completion
This is meaningful work. And the kids you serve will carry it with them long after your term ends.
