- North Dakota Tourism's subscriber newsletter program has more than 36,000 opt-ins and growing. Advertising is available in both the monthly Leisure News and the quarterly Hunting and Fishing News, along with options for special sends.

Today, having an online presence is essential for people to find information and the location of your services and destinations. As a business owner or community leader, you need to extend your reach when it comes to visibility and findability. The Global Marketing program educates overseas markets about North Dakota’s travel and tourism offerings and ultimately motivates travel and visitor spending. We work with the travel trade (tour operators and travel agents) to create sellable product through trade shows, missions, and product development tours. Target markets are the UK, Germany, The Nordic region, France, Italy, the Benelux Region and Australia/New Zealand. North Dakota markets cooperatively with SD, MT, WY, and ID under the Great American West (GAW) brand, coordinated by Rocky Mountain International. Group Travel Marketing
Group Travel markets and promotes North Dakota’s tourism partners’ products and services to buyers, operators, and agents of the travel industry. This program builds a strong foundation of cooperative partnerships, collaborates with product development and is a resource for the industry. A primary focus is attending trade shows, such as the American Bus Association conference, that have the most potential for delivering tours to the state. Outdoor Marketing Promotions
North Dakota’s Outdoors promotions program works to entice outdoor enthusiasts to make trips to North Dakota by highlighting recreational experiences to prime target markets across the upper Midwest. Outreach efforts include paid sponsorships, media relations, social media, and consumer travel shows. The pandemic has only strengthened traveler’s urge to get outside to experience North Dakota’s wide-open spaces as a destination to get away from urban centers to reconnect with nature. Our public relations strategy strives to enhance the image of North Dakota as a legendary travel destination and we incorporate a number of tools, including a robust content calendar, that aligns our messaging with our marketing efforts.
