When you think of North Dakota, you probably think of olden days and a society that is a little slower-paced than most. However, if you have traveled to the state lately, you may have been pleasantly surprised. If you haven't, there is a lot to look forward to. North Dakota jobs have been a drawing point for a lot of the younger population who yearn to stay within the state after finishing college. The local government has been making a lot of progress in introducing large companies and technology into the state to develop and keep good-paying jobs, in the hopes of attracting and retaining young people living in the state, instead of moving elsewhere to find good jobs.

One of the biggest areas in which North Dakota increases its strong job outlook is through agricultural jobs. As its positions stem from such a highly-productive, agricultural state, North Dakota jobs that involve farming, production and technology are ever-increasing among many parts of the region. A key field, ready to expand, is in the production of soybeans and corn, which have been making headlines in their uses in ethanol and fuel for cars. There are a couple of large universities in the state that have agricultural programs designed to implement and further develop the research of using alternative fuels, using products of the state.

Another emerging field in North Dakota jobs comes via biotechnology. The technology and science behind much of the growth potential of farming and agricultural methods has been developed by companies working to improve the production of crops and the implementation of alternative fuel sources coming from soybeans and corn. Biotechnology jobs can come in the form of studying parts of the environment through biology, human development and technology. The mixture of science and technology is an emerging field and there are becoming more and more opportunities for biotechnologists in the world.

There is always a need for agricultural jobs, from the design and development stages to the planting and harvesting phases, and North Dakota offers people a wide range of jobs in the agricultural fields. There is a lot of stability in the field as well; one of the biggest industries in North Dakota consists of the farming and agriculture sector, providing thousands of good-paying jobs for people who choose to live and work in the beautiful state. Best of all, jobs in the agricultural field will never subside, since it plays a primary role in the survival requirements of humans.
