The North Dakota Department of Commerce was recently selected as one of the “Top 10 Place to Work” by the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network.

“It’s a great honor to have been recognized by the Bismarck-Mandan Young Professionals Network,” Commerce Commissioner Al Anderson said. “Our team thrives on challenges and is known for being innovative and exceeding expectations. We find reasons to have fun while meeting deadlines, exceeding goals and gaining results. We strive each and every day to make Commerce a better place to work. This award recognizes us as an employer of choice in North Dakota.”

The Bismarck-Mandan Top 10 Young Professional Workplaces Award recognizes local businesses committed to recruiting and retaining talented young professionals. Eligible businesses, those employing young professionals under the age of 40, are measured on criteria related to the active development and execution of strategies advancing employment of young professionals in the workplace and quality and type of benefits offered.

The Commerce Department was also selected as the “2013 Best Place to Intern” and “2013 Top Place to Work” by the statewide North Dakota Young Professionals Network (NDYP). NDYP explains in the award that the North Dakota Department of Commerce has a history of investing in younger generations through their Youth Office, Career Conversations Program and participation in the Crash Course Program and assisting the ND Young Professionals Network.
