Foundation History and Purpose

The North Dakota Economic Development Foundation is a private foundation established by the Legislature in 2001 to provide private-sector guidance and oversight of the state's economic development efforts. The Foundation established and maintains a strategic plan for economic development. Twenty-three business leaders from all corners of the state serve on the Foundation. They meet quarterly to monitor progress toward economic development goals, to discuss major business and economic issues, and to offer suggestions for improving North Dakota's business climate.
