| Centers of Excellence |
The 2009 Legislature allocated $10 million for Centers of Excellence Enhancement Grants available to the state's research universities for use in infrastructure or enhancement of economic development and employment opportunities.
Appropriate use of funds include a grant to enhance economic development and employment opportunities associated with the Grand Forks Air Force Base; infrastructure and economic development projects or programs to accommodate growth in proximity to or at the Grand Forks Air Force Base; and infrastructure and economic development projects or programs to enhance the capactiy of a research university to interface and collaborate with private industry on research, development, demonstration, and commercialization of technology.
